The first song is 'Tumhe Apna Banane Ka', the song has some nostalgic feeling (which may be correct since it is an recreated version of Tumhein Apana Banane Ka from Sadak). The soft sound along with the beautiful voices of Armaan Malik (also composed the song) and Neeti Mohan, turn this into an great song. So the album begins amazing with this melodious song.
With the second song 'Tu Isaq Mera' the album takes a radical change, but if you`ve peeked ahead in the track list you would see it is composed by Meet Bros so that explains the upbeat sound, but the change is not one for the better or in this case continuously good and might actually be a bit disappointing, but let`s look at the song apart from that. The instrumental is good as well as the melody and with (of course) Neha Kakkar`s vocals the song is quite sensual. It`s mostly the first nearly minute which is awful, after Kakkar starts singing it turns much better, but the rap part once again during the song takes out the momentum and mood of the song which is a real shame. So apart from the beginning and rap part in the song the song is enjoyable and catchy. The Psycho-Love Mix is very hard and quite likeable.
The third song starts of sounding much more similar to the first song. 'Wajah Tum Ho' is again sung, but not composed, by Armaan Malik. A romantic love song, with some R&B in between along with good lyrics. The Aashiqui style song combined with R&B and Armaan`s vocals make this a somewhat refreshing and definitely pleasant song. There is another version on the album, sung by Zeeshan Ahmed, which is more like an reprise version, but it does get a bit upbeat after nearly one and a half minute. The original is better, but the vocals make this version nice.
The fourth song is 'Neendein Khul Jaati Hain', once more by Meet Bros. The sound takes again a drastic change compared to the previous song (I`m noticing a pattern here). A cheerful song, if you`re in the mood for happy then this might be your pick.
The last song is 'Love To Hate You', loud, (club) partyproof, dark and with attractive female vocals by Shivranjani Singh. You`ll probably love it or hate it.
Overall the expectations are high with the great soundtrack from Hate Story 2, and this album definitely offers something good as well. A variety of songs, with the first one being great, but the only really good song on the album (while Hate Story 2 had several), but since the rest is quite or very nice as well it doesn`t really bother that much. So an entertaining soundtrack with popular songs, so generally a success. There are some things which could`ve been better, the 2 (as discussed) parts in Tu Isaq Mera are really too bad, because other than that the song is nice and Neendein Khul Jaati Hain isn`t my thing, but the rest of the album is so enjoyable I`ll just let that for what it is. So all together one of this years best albums.
